ADHD Holiday Planner: How to Get Through the Season Without Overwhelm
An ADHD-friendly way to plan the holidays: brain-dump everything, pick a few priorities and use short daily lists.
Brain-dump first
Write every holiday task on one page: gifts, cards, travel, food, events. Getting it out of your head lowers the noise right away.
Pick three priorities
Circle the three things that matter most this year. Everything else is optional, delegated or dropped. That is allowed.
Use short daily lists
- Three tasks a day, at most
- Put the hardest one where your energy is highest
- Set a timer for 15 minutes and stop when it rings if you need to
Plan rest on purpose
Block quiet time on the calendar the same way you block events. Rest is part of the plan, not a reward for finishing it. This is general information, not medical advice.
