Cleanliness is one of the categories guests rate after every stay. A written list means you, a co-host or a cleaner hit the same standard every time, even on a rushed same-day turnover.

- Bedrooms: fresh linens, check under beds, dust surfaces, empty drawers, spare blanket in place
- Bathrooms: scrub toilet, shower and sink, fresh towels, restock toilet paper and soap, check for hair
- Kitchen: empty fridge, run and unload dishwasher, wipe appliances, restock coffee, dish soap and trash bags
- Living areas: vacuum or mop, wipe remotes and switches, straighten cushions
- Final walk-through: test Wi-Fi and smart lock, set thermostat, lights off, photo of each room
Take photos every turnover
A quick photo of each room after cleaning gives you proof of condition if a guest reports a problem or damages something.
Track supplies
Keep a restock list next to the checklist. Running out of toilet paper or coffee mid-stay is an easy way to lose a star.
