Lash Extension Aftercare Instructions to Give Every Client
Simple eyelash extension aftercare instructions for the first 48 hours and beyond, plus a ready-made printable aftercare card and lash forms kit.
Why written aftercare matters
Most early lash loss and many client complaints come from aftercare, not application. Handing every client the same written instructions sets expectations, improves retention and gives you a record that they were told. It also cuts down on messages asking what they can and can't do.

- Keep lashes dry: no washing, steam, saunas or swimming
- Avoid oil-based products and heavy creams around the eyes
- No mascara on the extensions and no lash curlers
- Try not to sleep face-down on the lashes
Ongoing care
- Cleanse lashes every day or two with a lash-safe foam cleanser and a soft brush
- Brush through gently with a clean spoolie each morning
- Never pull or pick at extensions; book a removal instead
- Book a fill every 2 to 3 weeks to keep lashes full
- Contact your lash artist right away about redness, swelling or itching
Pair your aftercare sheet with a consent form and a refill log so each client's history is in one place. Check local rules for your area, since requirements vary.
