Salon Cancellation Policy Template for Nail and Lash Techs (Copy and Paste)
A copy-ready cancellation, late arrival and no-show policy for nail techs, lash artists and estheticians, plus how to word it and enforce it without losing clients.
Why you need a written cancellation policy
Every no-show is an empty chair you can't refill at short notice. For a solo beauty pro booking two-hour lash sets or full sets of nails, two missed appointments a week can cost hundreds a month. A clear written policy, shared before the first visit, cuts no-shows and makes enforcing a fee feel fair instead of personal.

- Notice: please give at least 24 hours' notice (48 hours for appointments over 2 hours) to cancel or reschedule
- Late cancellations: changes with less notice are charged 50% of the booked service
- No-shows: missed appointments without notice are charged 100% of the service, and future bookings require a deposit
- Late arrivals: after 15 minutes the service may be shortened or rescheduled, and a late fee may apply
- Deposits: a non-refundable deposit secures every new-client booking and is applied to the service
- Emergencies: genuine emergencies are handled case by case
How to enforce it kindly
- Put the policy on your booking page, in the confirmation message and on your intake form
- Have new clients sign or tick that they've read it
- Send a reminder 48 and 24 hours before each appointment
- Waive the fee once for a loyal client, and note that you did
Keep the signed policy with each client's consent form and service record so everything is in one place. Check local consumer rules before charging fees, since they vary.
