Salon Deposit Policy Template: How to Stop No-Shows
How lash, nail and beauty pros can write a clear booking deposit policy, with sample wording and free client forms.
Why take a deposit
A deposit protects your time. Clients who pay to book rarely ghost, and the busy holiday season is when a no-show costs the most.

- The deposit amount, such as 25 percent or a flat fee
- That it goes toward the final price
- How much notice is needed to move or cancel
- When the deposit is kept, such as no-shows or late cancellations
- How late arrivals are handled
Sample wording
A non-refundable deposit is required to book and will be applied to your service. Please give at least 48 hours notice to reschedule. Deposits are kept for no-shows and cancellations with less than 48 hours notice.
Put it in writing
Add the policy to your booking page and your client intake or consent form, and have clients sign it at their first visit. Check any local consumer rules before you start.
