- Class schedule with bell times and room changes
- Seating charts with a photo or name labels
- Lesson plans for each period, written step by step
- Where materials, copies and devices are kept
- Emergency procedures and the nearest staff contact
- Notes on students who need accommodations or medication

Assume the sub has never seen your room. List each activity with a time, the exact page or file, and what students hand in. Add one back-up activity per class in case something finishes early.
Keep an emergency set ready
Store three days of generic plans that work any time of year, so a sudden sick day does not mean writing plans at 6 a.m. Update them each term from your weekly plans.
